Quantumrun is a strategic foresight and trend-intelligence platform designed to help organizations research emerging trends, organize evidence, monitor change, and turn research into inputs for strategy, scenario planning, and innovation. Despite its name, the main Quantumrun service at Quantumrun.com is not a quantum-computing platform. It is a combination of research software, AI-assisted intelligence tools, foresight content, and consulting services.

The platform is aimed mainly at strategy, innovation, research, market intelligence, product, and R&D teams. Its current product combines an AI Research Assistant called Tylo, automated Radar monitoring, trend reports, collaborative research Lists, and visual tools for exploring future opportunities and risks.

    What Is Quantumrun?

Quantumrun, commonly presented as Quantumrun Foresight, is a Canadian strategic foresight business operating through Quantumrun.com. Its legal materials identify Futurespec Group Inc. as the corporate entity that owns and operates the Quantumrun website and service, with a Toronto, Ontario address.

The company describes itself as a trend-intelligence and strategic-foresight firm serving both public- and private-sector organizations. Rather than attempting to predict one fixed future, the service is built around researching emerging signals, assessing possible future developments, and helping organizations consider how those developments could affect present-day decisions.

This distinction matters. Strategic foresight is generally about evaluating possible futures and preparing for uncertainty. A forecast generated through Quantumrun should therefore be treated as an analytical input, not as a guaranteed prediction of what will happen.

    Quantumrun’s Background and History

Quantumrun says its foresight activities date to 2010. Founder David Tal has described the company as beginning as a boutique foresight consultancy that he bootstrapped before it expanded into a SaaS platform focused on trend intelligence and innovation strategy.

There is independent evidence of the brand’s longer-term Canadian presence. Canadian Intellectual Property Office records show a Quantumrun trademark application filed by Futurespec Group Inc. in October 2016, with claimed use in Canada for consulting services since October 2014.

The software product arrived later. Quantumrun’s own historical material states that the beta version of the Quantumrun Foresight Platform launched in January 2021. Early versions centered on Signals, Insights, Forecasts, Scenarios, Lists, and tools that converted collected research into strategic visualizations.

The product has since moved further toward AI-assisted research. Quantumrun announced a strategic partnership with Tylo AI in 2024, adding technology focused on research queries, patents, academic literature, knowledge graphs, and automated reports.

    Was Quantumrun Acquired?

Yes, according to its founder. In a public LinkedIn announcement, David Tal stated that Quantumrun Foresight had been acquired after more than a decade of development. The announcement did not identify the buyer in the publicly accessible material reviewed.

There is an important distinction between that announcement and the company’s current legal structure. Quantumrun’s present website still identifies Futurespec Group Inc. as the owner and operator of the service, and the site describes Quantumrun Foresight as a subsidiary of Futurespec Group Inc. An acquisition can occur at the shareholder or parent-company level without changing the operating corporation, so the two statements are not necessarily contradictory.

The identity and terms of the acquisition were not clearly disclosed in the authoritative public sources available, so claims naming a specific buyer should be treated cautiously unless supported by further corporate documentation.

    How Quantumrun Works

The current Quantumrun platform summarizes its workflow in three stages:

    Research → Curate → Visualize.

That structure is one of the platform’s more distinctive characteristics. It is not simply an AI chatbot or a news database. It tries to connect research discovery with team knowledge management and strategic analysis.

    1. Research Emerging Trends

Users can research a technology, market, industry, scientific topic, competitor, regulation, or other subject using several information sources.

    The current platform includes:

    • Tylo AI Research Assistant
    • customizable global research feeds
    • automated Radar monitoring
    • Quantumrun-written trend reports
    • a broader trend and industry research library
    • patent and academic research capabilities

Quantumrun says the Research Assistant can produce reports with industry, patent, and academic citations.

    2. Organize Research Into Lists

Relevant findings can be bookmarked and organized into custom Lists. Teams can use Lists as research repositories for projects, industries, strategic questions, technologies, or other themes.

Quantumrun also supports team collaboration and, on qualifying plans, the importing or centralization of an organization’s own research.

Lists can therefore mix information discovered through Quantumrun with selected internal or external evidence.

    3. Turn Research Into Visualizations

The third stage converts selected research into project visualizations.

    Quantumrun currently describes applications including:

    • product brainstorming
    • strategy planning
    • SWOT analysis
    • VUCA analysis
    • trend segmentation

The platform has also historically offered tools such as its Strategy Planner, Scenario Composer, market-segmentation interfaces, and Ideation Engine.

The benefit is organizational rather than magical prediction. Instead of leaving dozens of research links scattered across browsers and spreadsheets, teams can categorize them and examine relationships visually.

What Is the Tylo AI Research Assistant?

Tylo is the AI research component integrated into Quantumrun.

According to Quantumrun, Tylo’s Research Assistant references academic literature, patent information, selected online sources, a knowledge graph, and vector-based information retrieval rather than relying only on a conventional conversational AI workflow.

Quantumrun states that its source environment includes:

    Source typeQuantumrun’s description
Academic literatureMore than 100 million academic papers
    Patent informationGlobal patent databases
    Online materialSelected higher-credibility sources
Knowledge graphStructured connections among concepts and sources
Vector databaseSemantic retrieval for related information

These figures and descriptions come from Quantumrun itself and should be understood as vendor-provided specifications, not independently audited measurements.

Quantumrun also advises users to evaluate AI-generated research critically and cross-check important findings, particularly for complex subjects. That is a sensible limitation for any AI-assisted research tool.

    What Is Quantumrun Radar?

Radar is designed for continuous topic monitoring rather than one-time research.

A user can define an area of interest and use Radar to watch for new information. Quantumrun says Radar references a similar information environment to the Research Assistant, including academic literature, patent data, selected online resources, its knowledge graph, and vector database.

This can make Radar useful for activities such as:

technology scouting, competitor monitoring, regulatory tracking, scientific monitoring, patent surveillance, market-change detection, and identifying new signals related to a strategic topic.

The important limitation is that automated monitoring still depends heavily on the quality of the query, source coverage, categorization, and human interpretation. A signal appearing in research does not automatically mean it will become commercially important.

    Who Is Quantumrun Designed For?

Quantumrun is primarily a professional research and strategy tool rather than a mass-market consumer app.

Its functionality is most relevant to:

    Strategy and Corporate Planning Teams

Teams can collect evidence about technological, economic, regulatory, demographic, and market developments before incorporating them into medium- or long-term planning.

    Innovation and Product Teams

The platform’s Ideation and visualization features can be used to connect trends and explore possible products, services, policies, or business models.

    Market Intelligence and Research Teams

Research feeds, Radar monitoring, AI-assisted investigation, and Lists can reduce the need to maintain separate collections of bookmarks, spreadsheets, newsletters, and reports.

    R&D and Technology-Scouting Teams

Academic papers and patents make the platform particularly relevant where users are monitoring scientific research or emerging technologies.

    Consultants

Independent foresight and strategy consultants can use the platform as part of research and client workshops. Quantumrun also offers special access arrangements for foresight professionals and researchers.

    Students and Academics

The latest main platform page includes an Academic plan specifically for students and academic researchers.

    Quantumrun Pricing in 2026

Quantumrun’s current main platform page lists four primary subscription levels.

    PlanListed priceIntended users
    Academic$9 per user/monthStudents and academics
Pro$89 per user/monthProfessionals and small teams
    Business$699/monthMid-sized teams
Enterprise$1,899/month, billed annuallyLarge teams and multi-department programs

The Academic plan includes 60 Research Assistant credits, three Radars and up to 10 project visualizations. Pro increases AI and Radar allowances while adding collaboration and support features. Business currently lists 25 user accounts, 1,000 Research Assistant credits and 50 Radars. Enterprise lists 300 accounts, unlimited Research Assistant credits and up to 500 Radars, alongside additional research and support services.

Why Other Quantumrun Prices Appear Online

Prospective customers should pay attention to a pricing inconsistency.

A separate official Quantumrun pricing page still displays older figures such as $60 per user for Pro, $499 for Business and $1,799 for Enterprise, while the main platform page currently shows the newer $89, $699 and $1,899 amounts.

Third-party directories also contain older pricing. Because Quantumrun’s public pages are not fully synchronized, the safest approach is to confirm the final price and contract terms directly on the subscription or sales page before purchasing.

    Quantumrun’s Business Model

Quantumrun earns revenue through more than software subscriptions.

    Its broader model includes:

SaaS subscriptions: access to the research platform, AI capabilities, trend content and visualization tools.

Strategic foresight consulting: custom research, workshops, planning, scenario work and innovation support.

Dedicated research services: higher subscription levels can include access to foresight researchers.

Enterprise customization: Quantumrun advertises custom visualization, data integration and white-label options for larger deployments.

This combination places Quantumrun somewhere between a research SaaS product, an intelligence database and a specialist foresight consultancy.

    Is Quantumrun Legitimate?

Available evidence supports Quantumrun being an established operating business rather than an anonymous or newly created research website.

Its corporate operator is publicly identified, Canadian trademark records document use of the Quantumrun brand, the service provides identifiable staff and contact information, and active Quantumrun pages continue to describe current software subscriptions and consulting services.

Public customer feedback is positive but limited in volume.

G2 shows Quantumrun Foresight with a 5.0/5 rating from four reviews, while explicitly noting that there are not enough reviews for G2 to provide broader buying insight. Trustpilot shows a 4.3/5 score from nine reviews and reported no new reviews during the preceding 12 months when its page was most recently indexed.

Those numbers are too small to support sweeping claims about overall customer satisfaction. Company-hosted testimonials provide additional context, but naturally should not carry the same evidentiary weight as large independent review samples.

    Is Quantumrun Safe to Use?

Quantumrun publishes a privacy policy and identifies Futurespec Group Inc. as the data controller for its service. Its policy says the company uses measures including encryption, firewalls, access controls, internal policies, and restricted access to personal information.

Quantumrun has also described options for handling internal client research. For sensitive files, it has recommended keeping files on an organization’s own protected servers and importing links rather than moving the files themselves. A separate hosted-storage arrangement is also described for some use cases.

That does not remove the need for normal enterprise due diligence. An organization planning to upload confidential research, personal data, intellectual property or regulated information should verify current security documentation, contractual data-processing terms, data location, access controls, retention and deletion policies, authentication options, incident procedures, and any required security certifications before deployment.

    Strengths of Quantumrun

Quantumrun’s main advantage is the way it combines several stages of foresight work in one environment.

Instead of offering only AI answers, it connects discovery, monitoring, knowledge organization, collaboration and strategic visualization. Patent and academic search capabilities also make it potentially more useful for technology and innovation research than a basic news-monitoring dashboard.

The combination of human-written trend content and automated research may also appeal to organizations that do not want to depend exclusively on generative AI.

Another useful feature is the separation between research and interpretation. Lists, project visualizations, SWOT tools and scenario-oriented interfaces give human teams a framework for deciding what the evidence means rather than asking an AI system to make every strategic decision.

    Limitations to Consider

Quantumrun still has several limitations that potential users should understand.

    AI Results Still Require Verification

Quantumrun itself recommends critical evaluation and cross-checking of Research Assistant output. Evidence-based retrieval can reduce some problems associated with general-purpose AI, but it cannot guarantee that every source, interpretation, connection or generated statement is correct.

    Foresight Is Not Prediction

A scenario showing a trend as important, likely or disruptive is not proof that the event will occur. Long-range foresight becomes less certain as the forecast horizon expands.

    Independent Review Volume Is Small

The public G2 and Trustpilot samples are much smaller than those available for major enterprise research platforms.

    Pricing Information Is Inconsistent

Quantumrun currently has different prices displayed across official pages. Buyers should verify the applicable plan before budgeting or signing a contract.

Some Platform Claims Come From the Vendor

Statistics concerning research coverage, productivity savings, source volumes and platform benefits are often published by Quantumrun itself. They should not automatically be treated as independently validated performance benchmarks.

Is Quantumrun Still Active in 2026?

Yes. Quantumrun remains operational as of September 2026 based on its active platform pages, subscription offerings, research content, consulting pages and current staff information.

The website has also continued publishing material during 2026. For example, a Quantumrun article on secure connectivity was published on August 7, 2026, providing further evidence that the publication and wider service remain active.

The founder’s acquisition announcement therefore should not be interpreted as evidence that Quantumrun shut down. The platform continues operating under the Quantumrun Foresight brand, while its public legal materials continue to identify Futurespec Group Inc. as the operating corporate entity.

    Quantumrun vs Quantumrun.net

Readers should not confuse Quantumrun.com with Quantumrun.net.

Quantumrun.com is the strategic foresight, trend-intelligence and innovation platform discussed in this article. Quantumrun.net presents itself as a separate business focused on data infrastructure, storage, backup, archiving and AI workloads.

The similar branding can create confusing search results, but the two websites describe substantially different products.
